| CEA's Fundamentals of Correctional Education
Facilitator: John Littlefield Facilitator: John Dowdell
 | CEA has teamed up with the Corrections Learning Network and Ashland University to create a general education course on the history, theory, and philosophy of correctional education.
Three (3) undergraduate level semester college credits are now available through CEA & Ashland in an online course called "Fundamentals of Correctional Education." The course will cover the history and philosophy of correctional education. It presents the underpinnings of our profession, including major elements of the kinds of curriculum found in most prisons. People who have had traditional education backgrounds will find this course very helpful in understanding what distinguishes the public school educator from those who work in correctional settings.
The biggest advantage is that the course can be taken on your own time from the comfort of your own home! The cost of the course, including the 4 credits, is $399. Please visit the CEA homepage: www.ceanational.org for more information and to download the registration form or contact the CEA office at 800-783-1232 or via email at hcomstock@ceanational.org .
