Welcome Home Kits Available in More Counties

The Demeter Foundation advocates statewide for women in the Wisconsin Women's Correctional System (WWCS) and provides transitional services and resources regarding health services and education. The Demeter Foundation has expanded its Welcome Home Kits program. Welcome home kits are available to formerly incarcerated women from WWCS within 60 days of re-entry. Kits are available in counties in Wisconsin DOC Regions 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The Demeter Foundation does not provide the kits in Regions 2 and 3. These kits provide personal essentials for women reentering our communities. Kits are delivered in Dane County and mailed to the rest of the counties.

Alice F. Pauser, Founder and CEO of the Demeter Foundation is pleased that more Parole Agents from the regions are sending in the applications for the women so that the kits can be mailed or delivered as soon as possible upon release. Applications can be found on the Demeter Foundation website: www.thedemeterfoundation.com .

If you know of a woman who would benefit from a kit or if you would like to contribute to the Welcome Home Kits program please contact the Demeter Foundation founder/CEO Alice F. Pauser via the website or by phone at 608-298-3653.
