Apprenticeship program for incarcerated teens may be U.S. first
A new Sacramento County education-based training program will prepare incarcerated teens to begin an apprenticeship in welding, landscaping or construction after their release. "In the past, young men released from the Sacramento County Boys Ranch left with few job prospects," said David W. Gordon, Sacramento County's superintendent.
