Professional Development for Educators: This Week at Tapped In (August 20-Sept. 1)
Tapped In Festival 2007 took place on July 25, 2007. If you participated and submitted sign-in forms, you can access your participant certificates at [tappedin.org] .
SUNDAY
* Webheads in Action - TESOL/ESL/EFL/ELL community discussion for language teachers.
MONDAY
* National Board Certification Support Group - Are you a candidate for National Board certification, or thinking about becoming one? Please join Gayle Britt's Stanford National Board Certification discussion group to ask questions, learn tips, and have your entries proofread.
TUESDAY
* FIRST Robotics - Join Patricia Chen to learn more about how you can engage your math, science and special needs students through robotics. Start your own robotics group or find a group near you and become a mentor.
* Frazel Features - This month Midge will take a look Scrapblog, a Web 2.0 tool that you can use to create dynamic multi-media scrapbooks.
WEDNESDAY
* Join Sue Roseman for the popular K-3+ Resources discussion. The topic for August is Back-to-School.
THURSDAY
* Online Teaching and Learning: Join Roger Goodson for this controversial discussion on the topic of the future of education.
* Faculty Resistance to Online Learning: Roger Goodson leads this discussion about how best to work with faculty resistance to Online Learning.
* What is Wiki? Why use Wikis? Private or public Wikis? Join Michael Misovec of www.helpingstudents.org to create a class Wiki Project using A K12 Teacher Wiki and learn about WikiWizard
SATURDAY
* Religious Educators discussion with John Greenamyre (office hours for Religious Educators Monday though Saturday from 12 noon to 1pm ET).
* Collaboration Central - Jeff Cooper leads this discussion about ideas that foster collaboration and support between teachers, students and parents.
* K-12 Campus Tour and Classroom Support - Join Jeff Cooper for this opportunity to learn how to create a K-12 Student Group in the safe and secure Tapped In Student Campus.
* TIPS AND TRICKS sessions are offered throughout the week to help both new and experienced Tapped In users get the most from the interface!
